Ipad art, animator, and music editor?

December 21st, 2010 Leave a comment Go to comments

I am looking for a new computer and at first i wanted a tablet, because i like drawing cartoons and want to become more serious with it. I then realised i wanted to get a computer with the ability to edit music (kind of). I want to edit music like how the macbook pro does. So the macbook sounds like a good idea, but its not a tablet. and the tablet computers sound like a good idea but they dont really have a good music software like garage band.
Then i thought of the Ipad. at first i thought that it wasnt high tech enough for wat i want. So for any Ipad owners out there. i have 4 questions

1. Is it a good computer for highschool type homework. (I dont konw if ill bring it with me to school)
2. Does it have youtube? Is it good with the internet.
3. Does it have a profecional art app? Can the app put pics together to make a stop-action animation
4. Can it edit music garageband style?

Thanks so much… Maybe that was a bit more than 4 questions but anyways just answer the best u can!

THanks
If there is a garageband style app, can i plug an AMP or Guitar into it and put my own instroment into the Ipad… Thanks
Can the Ipad have some kind of tablet pen that can be used to draw with, instead of using my finger?

    Hey,

In terms of your homework, the iPad has the full iWork suite available on the App store, which includes Pages (word processor), Numbers (spreadsheets), and Keynote (presentations.) Typing is great on the iPad but you can also connect a WiFi or USB Keyboard, or buy the Apple keyboard dock, when you’ll be typing a lot.

Yes, it has a YouTube that comes included on the iPad.

There is quite a lot of art software available on the App store, checkout Sketchbook Pro.

The iPad has a pen device for drawing available called the Pogo Sketch. — http://tenonedesign.com

There are a few iPad music studio applications on the App store too, including sequencers, drum machines, multi-track recording straight into the iPad.

There’s definitely a lot of exciting things on the iPad, and it just seems to get more.

  1. No trackbacks yet.
